Digital Skills

The Digital Skills Center at HES-SO has created short online courses for students. This initiative aims to better understand the themes and challenges related to "teaching in the digital age."

A first set of FlashLearns is available on the numerique.hes-so.ch platform. These provide clear and engaging access to topics such as:

  • The role of students in the digital age,
  • Proctoring,
  • Conspiracy theories,
  • Social media addiction, And many others...

Each FlashLearn offers short video resources and a quiz. Participants receive a certificate confirming their successful completion of the micro-learning course.
 

Master's Work Methodology

HES-SO Master offers various courses, both in-person at the HES-SO Master Campus in Lausanne and online, to help you acquire efficient study methods. The following thematic courses are available:

  •     Thematic 1: Organizing oneself, optimizing time, and note-taking skills
  •     Thematic 2: Reading scientific papers (sorting, organizing, decoding)
  •     Thematic 3: Exam preparation, utilizing notes effectively, and managing stress
  •     Thematic 4: Written expression and academic integrity

HES-SO Master English Courses

Free online English courses are available. These courses have been created by experienced teacher to meet the needs of HES-SO Master students.

Different levels are offered, and the teaching is based on active participation and presence. A certificate of participation will be issued to individuals who have attended at least nine classes. Additionally, two optional activities, each requiring 30 minutes of work, are provided each week. These activities help prepare for the upcoming class but are not directly used in the classroom. Furthermore, two evaluation tasks are offered during the semester. They are also optional and allow participants to assess their level and receive personalized feedback from the instructor. E-tandem

The language tandem is an ideal solution for learning a language and practicing it flexibly. The national e-Tandem electronic platform allows you to quickly find a learning partner. It brings together a large community from nine universities (HES-SO, BFH, UNIL, UNINE, UNIBE, EPFL, HEP VS, HEP BEJUNE, PH Bern).
