The HES-SO Digital Competence Centre has produced a series of short online courses for teachers. The aim is to provide a better understanding of the themes and issues involved in "teaching in the digital age".

A first batch of FlashLearns is available on the numerique.hes-so.ch platform. These provide clear and entertaining access to subjects such as :

  • Teaching differently in the digital age,
  • Proctoring,
  • Conspiracy theory,
  • Addiction to social networks,
  • And many more...

Each FlashLearn includes short video resources and a quiz. Participants receive a certificate confirming that they have successfully completed the microlearning. Ten successful Flashlearns enable HES-SO teachers to obtain the equivalence of one day's training with a view to obtaining the didactic attestation.

Access badge

A badge is required to access the facilities outside opening hours. If you have booked lessons during these periods, please request an access badge before your first lesson from master(at)hes-so.ch

Printers and photocopiers are badge-operated. If necessary, the HES-SO Master reception (Espace A, Avenue de Provence 6, Lausanne) will provide you with one. As a general rule, it is advisable to print out your course materials in advance.

WIFI :
The HES-SO Master sites have public wifi access. The network does not allow executable files to be downloaded over the wifi. If students need to install software on their computer, it is recommended that they do so before the course or that they make the file available on a USB key.

You can find more information on this page.

If you have any IT questions, please contact support : informatique.master(at)hes-so.ch

A tripartite contract (if you are teaching on behalf of your employer/company) or a bipartite contract (if you are teaching as an individual) will be sent to you, based on the information provided by the module leader. The contract is accompanied by a registration form (if this is your first assignment for HES-SO Master) or by your personal data form (if you have already given courses).

The invoice for services provided on the basis of a tripartite contract must be sent to HES-SO Master, Av. de Provence 6, 1007 Lausanne, on completion of the work. VAT should not be added, as teaching services are not subject to VAT. Travel and meal expenses, if any, may be added to the invoice, on the basis of the directive on the reimbursement of expenses for external contributors.

Services provided on the basis of a bipartite contract do not require any invoicing on your part, unless you have self-employed status (see below). Payments are made once a month by the HES-SO HR department, after deduction of social security contributions. Travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with the reimbursement of expenses for external contributors.

If you have self-employed status, the CCJU, to which the HES-SO is affiliated, must decide whether your services for the HES-SO Master are independent or dependent. To do this, you must provide us with an attestation of your status, which will be forwarded to the CCJU for determination. If your status is recognised, you will be able to invoice your services. If your status is not recognised, you will be paid on an individual basis with social security contributions deducted.
