International cooperation

The HES⁠-⁠SO takes part in several international initiatives and collaborations, and establishes itself on the international scene as a University of applied sciences and arts.

The HES-SO is an active member of several important European and worldwide networks. It has also set up cooperation programmes with international institutions, such as the "Entrepreneurship and Appropriate Technologies" programme and bilateral partnership between HES-SO and the technical colleges in Portugal. It is also commissioned by SERI to run the Leading House for the Middle East and North Africa.

The EUA is comprised of 850 members in 47 countries. It plays a key role in the Bologna Process and in defining European Union policies with regard to higher education, research, and innovation.

The EAIE is the European centre of expertise, networking and resources for the internationalisation of higher education.

UAS4EUROPE

UAS4EUROPE is the networking platform for universities of applied sciences (UAS) in Europe.
